Breath-Centered Vinyasa

In Breath-Centered Vinyasa, the feedback of yoga is the process of consciously integrating body, mind, movement, and breath and maintaining that awareness throughout the practice. In the yoga tradition, the principle of svadhyaya (self-study) is engaged with asana (postures).

Students are guided and encouraged to maintain qualities of steadiness, alertness, and comfort as we move through various vinyasa krama (organized sequences of asana), paying particular attention to the ways in which our breath can affect our mind and our mind can affect our breath.

With your breath and movement supporting each other, students are encouraged to practice with an open and curious mind and to question: How can your practice be smarter and cleverer than your habitual patterns? How can you learn something about yourself? How can a Breath-Centered Vinyasa practice lead to freedom and liberation? You deserve that. All levels of experience are welcomed.

Salty Yoga Nidra: Midweek Recharge!

Salty Yoga Nidra: Midweek Recharge!

Hit the recharge button and head into the New Year with Yoga Nidra and Halotherapy. After a few minutes of stretching in the salty air, with myriad benefits for the skin and respiratory system, you'll lie down for savasana (mats and blankets provided) and Angela will be your guide for Yoga Nidra, or "yogic sleep."

This meditation is meant to induce a powerful hypnagogic state, just on the threshold of sleep, where our senses are drawn inward and we dream while awake. The mind can deeply relax, physical and emotional tension can be released, and the body is flooded with hormones that can reduce pain and inflammation.

Most importantly, we no longer let the intellectual mind dictate how we should live. Yoga nidra leads us to our sankalpa, or our true, heartfelt desire, and gives us powerful insight into how to manifest this desire. After the meditation, we'll have time for silence and sharing, all while taking in the benefits of halotherapy.

Cost: $35
